Angola has its beautiful beaches, which is well known places for water sports. Angolans are well known for their friendliness and hospitality and it is no surprise when visitors are invited for a traditional meal in their homes.
The capital of Angola is Luanda and the official language is Portuguese. Portuguese is also the official business language, but there are six other national African Languages: Kikongo, Kimbundo, Umbundu, Chokwe, Mbunda and Oxikuanyama.
Palmeirinhas, Ilha and Ramiros are beautiful beaches surrounding Luanda and they are also the popular spots for water sport enthusiasts. Angola has three Museums: The Museum of Anthropology which has an excellent collection of African Arts, The Museum of Armed Forces and The Museum of slavery. There are several discos and clubs that are situated throughout the city. You can also buy local art crafts that are made out of ebony, rosewood, straw, ivory, malachite, bronze ceramic and plastic.
Another attraction is the Mussulo Island. This makes a pleasant day trip as you will either have to take a boat or the public ferry to get there.
Football (soccer) is Angola's most loved sport and there is often games held in the city's stadiums.
The climate in Angola is hot and humid. The maximum temperature is about 30 degrees and the minimum is about 17 degrees. The most pleasant time would be late spring and early summer.
