Paddling

Manual propulsion and navigation of a small boat, a canoe or a kayak, in the water using a blade that is joined to a shaft, known as a paddle. The paddle is also used to steer the vessel and may either be a single blade or a double blade affair. Paddlers always face towards the front or bow of their craft.  Paddling is indigenous to boaters in Africa, the Americas, Australasia and Asia.  When on safari in Africa, where there is a mass of water like a lake or a river you will generally see someone paddling a boat.
