The tour commences with the collection of guests from the three major city hotels. The capital is spread out in a wide valley and stands at an altitude of 1,650m in the middle of Namibia's central highlands. Travel via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass and town of Solitaire to your Lodge. Guests will experience the ever-changing landscapes, as the terrain becomes more arid as we continue past the Naukluft massif and into the pro-Namib. An early start is imperative, as this is not only the coolest part of the day but the best for photography. Your journey takes you to the famous Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the highest sand dunes in the world. Observe the fauna and flora that inhabits this region. Climbing one of the dunes affords the energetic traveller with an unforgettable experience of endless vistas across a sea of apricot-coloured sand. Time will be taken to explore the impressive sandstone gorges of the Sesriem Canyon, with its rock pools fed by the Tsauchab, the same river that feeds Sossusvlei during the rainy season. To draw water from the pools, early travellers had to tie a bucket to six (ses) ox thongs (rieme) lashed together, hence the name, Sesriem. Return to the Lodge for lunch. During the afternoon join a guided nature / sunset drive to the Marble Mountains or relax at the Lodge. Accommodation at Namib Naukluft Lodge. Dinner on Day 1; breakfast packs, lunch & dinner on Day 2.


After a leisurely breakfast you are transferred back to Windhoek and your Hotel.
