A charming and quaint island, La Digue has few roads and is best explored by ox-cart or bicycle. The island is famous for its Creole architecture, its vanilla, and its stunning, secluded beaches.

La Digue



La Digue is a granitic island with a population of around 2000. The island has no airstrip and is best reached by helicopter from Mahe or by ferry from Praslin. The rare Paradise Flycatcher lives in its forests, and cycades grow in abundance near its roads.
