Today you explore the West Coast National Park and the Langebaan Lagoon. Incorporating an astounding number of sea birds, waders, seed and insect eaters and raptors, the West Coast National Park is a bird watchers paradise. Game and wild flowers (August to begin Oct) make this park and the lagoon a must for all nature lovers. Overnight tonight at The Farmhouse in Langebaan. The charming village of Langebaan is just over an hour from Cape Town. The Farmhouse is set on a hillside, overlooking the tranquil turquoise Langebaan Lagoon, a warm and welcoming guesthouse. The guest rooms, some with their own fireplace and some leading to a private poolside garden, have views of the lagoon. In summer enjoy breakfast and lunch alfresco on the patio, and in winter crackling lodge fires warm the restaurant with its high ceilings and oregon furnishings. Explore nearby villages and towns, stroll along the deserted beaches, or simply relax and enjoy the birdlife on the lagoon.
