Jacis Tree Lodge
Highlights
Jaci's Tree Lodge proudly showcases the vibrant colours and unique crafts found in Southern Africa. A modern and luxurious safari experience.
RHINOMETER
Once construction of the lodge was completed, Jaci's team immediately started to replenish the ground by planting indigenous flora and rehabilitating the area surrounding the entire Lodge. On the game drives side, strict policies are practised as set out by the North West Parks where the game drives do not drive off road in sensitive areas (e.g pans), after/during rainstorms, and after fire. If roads or veld have deteriorated to any extent, guides on the Reserve are requested to rehabilitate before further deterioration takes place. During game viewing all sightings are restricted to between 1 and 3 vehicles unless otherwise stipulated. Certain vulnerable species are not allowed to be viewed by spot-light after dark.
Accommodation
8 en suite "tree houses" Each room has a private deck overlooking a running stream where the animals come to drink. The bedrooms are a charming mixture of local stone and huge tented windows, with a cool thatch roof to give that special African Bush feeling. Each en-suite bathroom has an enormous "rock" bath and outside shower.
Facilities
Jaci's Tree Lodge is situated under a canopy of Tamboti and Giant Leadwood Trees. Meals come from an ultra modern kitchen, in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the "boma" under the stars, or out in the bush or a "braai", surrounded by nature. Raised wooden walkways connect the suites to the Main Tree Lodge which house the kitchen, dining area, lounge and bar.
Family
Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's. Children aged 12 and under are comfortably accommodated in their parents' room on their own stretcher. Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own Game Drive during the day by one of the rangers - this is a kiddie's drive and is geared totally to the children's interests and age level. An earlier evening meal at 18:00 is provided for the kids, as they are not allowed in the boma for the evening meal.
