Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Pick up from airport or hotel by your guide and transfer to Tarangire National Park. Afternoon game drive. Tarangire National Park gets its name from the river that threads its way through it. The park has one of the highest animal concentrations during the dry season. Herds of elephants, buffalos, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and Elands, leopards can bee seen all through the year. For the bird enthusiast, the park offers over 300 species of birds. The vegetation in Tarangire is primarily acacia, mixed woodland, dense elephant grass along the river and numerous baobab trees.Accommodation: Campsite in Tarangire National Park (tents with basic ablution facilities) Lunch & dinner

Day 2: Serengeti National Park 

Early morning we continue to Serengeti National Park. Have packed lunch and a game drive en route.Accommodation: Seronera Campsite (tents with basic ablution facilities) Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3 & 4: Serengeti National Park 

Spend the next two days on game drives in the morning and afternoon.  The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and large predator population. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeests migrate for the Western corridor of the park in search of greener pastures. Serengeti’s' other common animals include lions, leopards, zebras, Thompson gazelles, impala, Grant’s gazelles and buffalos. Most of the park is open grassland broken by isolated granite kopjies (hills) and patches of acacias woodlands.Accommodation: Campsite in Serengeti National Park (tents with basic ablution facilities) Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Breakfast and a morning game drive before departing to Ngorongoro Crater. Stop at Olduvai Gorge en-route to visit the site where the Leaky family discovered the “Early East African Man”. Those interested can visit the museum on site (own cost). Dinner and overnight at campsite.Accommodation: Simba Campsite (tents with basic ablution facilities) Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

A half day game drive in the crater. One of the World’s largest Calderas, 20 km wide, Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best Wildlife viewing areas where Black Rhinos can be seen in Tanzania. The crater at 2.286 m above sea level is the largest unbroken Calderas in the world. Surrounded by very steep walls, rising 610 m from the crate floor, it covers 260 km2 and is home to over 30.000 animals, almost half of them being zebra and wildebeest. Ngorongoro is listed as a World Heritage site.Accommodation: Simba Campsite (tents with basic ablution facilities) Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7: Manyara National Park

Depart to Manyara National Park with packed lunch en-route. Later in the afternoon we enter the park for game drive around Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara Nat. Park is well known for its tree-climbing lions. The park covers 390 km2 and is sanctuary to over 400 species of bird that include the pink flamingos, pelicans, storks, Ibis and Egyptian Geese. Day 8: Manyara Narional Park  to Arusha

Depart for Arusha after breakfast. Drop off at Kilimanjaro Airport or Hotel in Arusha. Breakfast & LunchEND OF SAFARI
