MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK DETAILS
Matusadona National Park

The Matuzviadonha Hills run through the park, the highest point rising to 1200 meters above sea level. This part of the Kariba shoreline has several small bays and an estuary-like indentation where the lower part of the Sanyati River has been flooded. Mixed woodland covers much of the park and supports such game species as elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, eland, bushbuck, kudu and warthog. Large predators such as lion, leopard and spotted hyena are also fairly common. The birdlife is rich and varied, particularly along the shoreline.
