Savuti Camp

Description:

Savuti Camp is situated in the southern part of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. It is built along the Savuti Channel and can accommodate eight guests at a time. The Savuti Channel is a legendary wildlife region, best known for its large number of predators. When the channel flows, water travels from the Linyanti marshes into the interior of Chobe National Park. The channel stopped flowing in 1980 and what was a Hippo-filled river is now wide open grasslands. Savuti Camp is a small and intimate tented camp in an isolated area, far from any crowds. In winter the Savutis' water hole is the only supply of water for a large area, attracting dense populations of game. This is one of the highlights of Savuti Camp as it enables fantastic wildlife viewing right from the camp. Savuti has already identified 40 different Lion along the channel around the camp and boasts high concentrations of game.

Family:

Parties with children between the ages of 8 and 12 years are required to book Private activities (unless they have booked the camps on an exclusive basis). This service is subject to availability at the camps on the dates required. Younger children generally do not have the same attention span and this can impact on other guests whilst on activities and therefore, children will only be accepted if these private activities have been booked. Usually families of 4 or more incur no extra costs, but smaller family parties of 2 and 3 may result in these additional costs being levied. Please note that the private family vehicle service does not always mean that only one family (unless this was specifically booked and paid for) will be on that vehicle. More than one family may be tied in together on one vehicle, when feasible and without impacting on comfort, to allow us to accommodate as many families as possible.

Accommodation:

7 large tents en suite Each tent has its own bathroom with a shower, hand basin and flush toilet. Three of the tents have bathrooms inside the tents and two of the rooms have more open bathrooms with two of the best bathroom views in Africa!
