Edos Camp

Description:

Cultural experience at Edo's Camp. Edo's Camp offers not only a chance to explore the Kalahari area and it's inhabitants, but also offers a rich cultural experience with the people of Botswana. One of the anticipated activities at Edo's is to visit a San Bushman village (about half an hour from camp) to experience their traditional lifestyle and to witness how they have adapted their existence to the environment. You will have the opportunity to join the women and children of the village on their typical and everyday gathering of food and medicines from the countryside. You will also be invited out walking with the Bushman trackers in search of the resident rhino, often seeing other wildlife along the way. Open 1st February through to 30th November.

Highlights:

Edo's Camp, in the western Kalahari Desert, is the private sanctuary home to the true indigenous people of Southern Africa, the San, who provide a fascinating cultural perspective of traditional life.
