Djuma Bush Camp

Description:

Djuma , renowned for the many predators that roam the area, was named from the Shangaan word meaning roar of the lion. There are no fences between the Sabi Sand and the Kruger National Park, thus Djuma is incorporated into the vast Kruger Park ecosystem. At Djuma you have access to 10000 hectares (22 000 acres) of African savannah. Ecosystems within the boundaries of Djuma are an interesting mix of Mopani Shrubland and the Acacia Woodland Savannah. Game is prolific and as well as the Big 5, all the plains mammals are represented with over 300 species of birds. The safari experience here is unique in that we do not only concentrate on the Big Five, but you can also learn about the history of the reserve and how the Tsongas once lived on this land alongside the animals. Bush Lodge, a rather special safari place with many guests returning time and again over the past decade.
