A corridor leads you down, on a journey beneath the ground, to an experience unique and unforgettable. Your entrance brings you to an uninterrupted bushveld panorama. You are cocooned in luxury, inspiration and grace. There are twelve suites only, in addition to the Amber Suite. Each is attended by a Private Butler and is appointed with specially commissioned furnishings, a secluded plunge pool and open air shower. The natural sculptures of Geoffrey Armstrong add a powerful magic. The Amber Suite is generous beyond belief in its dimensions and boasts its own exercise room, steam room, study and kitchen. It captures art and luxury in one unique experience. Earth Lodge and its surrounds tries to provide a sanctuary for flora and fauna - not only for our children, but for their children too - in a manner that creates employment, earns foreign currency and contributes to the growth of the country through the development of eco-tourism.

Sabi Sabi has recently won the Imvelo Responsible Tourism Award for the Best Practice in Conservation in Southern Africa. The recipient of this award is judged to have shown excellence in combined environmental issues such as air, waste, energy, water, conservation and general environmental management.
The boma, its walls sculpted from roots and built up piece by piece, captures the drama of an African night and embraces the power of the wilderness. At the Earth Nature Spa and exercise centre you can renew yourself with massages, natural therapies or a classic spa. Other lodge facilities include a secluded library, art gallery, meditation garden, swimming pool and bar, boma and cellar. Dining in the subterranean cellar will be a celebration you are not likely to forget! Conference facilities are available.

Providing there is exclusivity of the lodge with family and / or friends children may be allowed and the following rates will apply: Children 2 years and younger stay free of charge in a cot. 3 - 5 Years: Sharing with 1 or 2 adults pay approximately R350-00 per child per night. 6 - 12 Years: Sharing with 1 or 2 adults pay approximately R750-00 per child per night. Children occupying their own room will pay the full adult rate for a maximum of 1 child (if 4 children sharing the remaining 3 will revert to the children's rates). Children 13 - 15 years having their own room will be charged as follows: one child at 50% of the adult rate, second child at full rate. Children over 13 years sharing with their parents will be charged at 50% of the adult rate. Earth Lodge can accommodate 3 family rooms with a maximum of 2 children per room. Children 16 years and older are considered adults.
7 cottagesAll suites are air-conditioned and have been built to accommodate the environment which surrounds the lodge, with style and refinery. Earth Lodge has won numerous awards: 2003 AA Travel Guides Gold Achiever and the 2002 Conde Nast Accolade Award. Other awards include Best Game Lodge in Southern Africa 2003 presented by the ASATA/Diners Club.
