Lower Sabie restcamp

Description: 

Due to the abundant foliage and waterholes in the area, game abounds here. At another small dam situated only one kilometre from the camp, crocodile, hippo and various species of birds can be sighted. The diversity of game seen in the Lower Sabie Area is hard to equal anywhere in the park. The area is rich in lion, cheetah, elephant, hippo, rhino, herds of buffalo up to 800 strong, and a very high density of warthog. Night drives in this area of the park are excellent. Nearest Road: H4-1 Ecozone: H. A daily conservation levy is payable (included in the price range indicated).

Highlights: 

The restcamp is situated on the bank of a dam on the Sabie River. With its large lawns and shade trees this camp is a very popular family destination.

The Lower Sabie Restaurant is nestled on the banks of the Sabie River, 30km from Crocodile Bridge and 40km from Skukuza, blending in harmoniously with the tranquility of the surroundings. The spacious Lounge Bar leads onto an expansive wooden deck which provides an elevated view of animals watering in the Sabie River. Whether you prefer spending your time in the bar doing some passive game viewing from the Deck or relaxing with a light meal from Natures Café you are assured of time standing still for you to experience it. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Other facilities include a cafeteria, communal kitchens, laundromat, petrol station, picnic facilities, post box, public telephones, shop and swimming pool.
