| Sandibe is set in a cool forest canopy of wild palms and gnarled fig trees. Ancient baobabs, some still bearing a winding garland of climbing pegs, used many years ago by the Bayei (River Bushmen) in search of honey, are within walking distance of the lodge.
In the heart of the camp, tucked under the forest canopy, is the lounge and dining area with quiet, hammocked decks affording views across the waterways and savannahs. Pan-African dinners are prepared and served in the open boma that also boasts a unique charcoal cooled wine cellar. |

The cottages are airy, and all window openings are covered with insect gauze to maximize views into the forest and river frontage. Each cottage has its own private verandah/elevated viewing deck, which is perfect for intimate candlelit dinners.
