  • Beach walks
  • Water sports

Manda Bay lies in calm inshore waters on a long sandy protected beach. With miles of soft white sand, fascinating creeks and small islets to explore it makes a perfect retreat for both family groups and honeymooners alike.
For centuries this has been a calling point for the Arab dhow traders - a safe haven where time stands still and nature is allowed to take its natural course without the interference of the modern world.
Having its own private, fully fitted 60foot traditional dhow - Utamaduni - it's possible by arrangement to organize longer 2/3 day cruises exploring the uninhibited islands of this fascinating archipelago.

Manda Bay is closed from the 15th April to the 14th July

Facilities
Hosted by the owners themselves, Caragh and Andy Roberts, the personal attention to detail and to clients is both discreet and most welcoming.
Cuisine naturally features a marine flavour - freshly caught tuna, giant crab or lobster are the order of the day, but individual needs and flexible mealtimes are designed to fit in with guests requirements.
There is a central dining room and bar area featuring locally crafted Lamu furniture and overlooking the bay with a separate secluded lounge area perfect for unwinding over an ocean sundowner.
Accommodation
In keeping with the local landscape and artisans the accommodation consists of ten cottages constructed from local material.
