| Start: Nairobi Scheduled flights: Nairobi Airport | Day 1: Nairobi On arrival you'll be personally met and taken to the city's finest hotel, the Norfolk. For those arriving earlier, a variety of local sightseeing attractions can be prebooked | Day 2 & 3: Samburu National Park A dramatic morning flight from Nairobi skirts the glaciers of Mt. Kenya and then plunges to land on Kenya's near desert Northern Frontier. The great Ewaso Nyiro river cuts through the desert in Samburu National Park, and the surrounding veld blooms, attracting large amounts of game. Expect to see some rarer animals like the world's most beautiful giraffe, the reticulated, and the Grevy's zebra. Outstanding birdlife. Meals and accommodation at Serena Lodge. | Day 4: Mt Kenya Mount Kenya Leave the lowland veld and drive up Mt. Kenya, past colorful traditional villages. Arrive the private Sweetwaters Tented Camp for lunch and afternoon game viewing, including a visit to the Jane Goodell chimp sanctuary. This evening you can book an optional night time game drive. | Day 5: Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha Lake Nakuru Leave the highlands for a beautiful morning drive that crosses the Equatorial Line and arrives Lake Nakuru National Park for a mid-day game drive. The park is famous for its tens of thousands of flamingoes, rhino and Rothschild giraffe. In the afternoon, continue through the spectacular Kenyan tea highlands to the Kericho Tea Hotel for dinner and overnight. | Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara Masai Mara The drive into Kenya's best park, the Masai Mara, is truly spectacular. Arrive the exciting permanent tented camp, the Mara Safari Club, for lunch then start two days of intense game viewing. The Mara has all the big game in abundance, including the black-maned lion, cheetah and leopard, and plains full of gazelle and antelope. There will be time to see a Masai village and even book an optional game walk. | Day 8: Depart A quick flight brings you back to the Norfolk Hotel by noon.
