| Ntwala Island Lodge is situated in Namibia on an unusual group of islands within the Mambova rapids of the Zambezi River, where it meets the Chobe River. Conservation and community
A number of ongoing conservation and community projects have been developed by Island Lodge Management (ILM) in conjunction with the local communities, WWF, IRDNC (Integrated Rural Development and Nature Conservation) and MET (Ministry of Environment and Tourism). The successful development of conservancies in the Caprivi - which incorporates local communities, tourism developments and protection of the fauna and flora - has been progressive in Namibia.
