| Swakopmund is a true desert oasis on the west coast of Namibia and your last chance to soak up some civilization for 14 days, before you head north to the next major stop, Etosha. Etosha is one of the largest game reserves in Africa, famous for its impressive pan - a vast, shallow depression and over 114 mammal species. After experiencing this African highlight you go west and stop over in the Western Caprivi, cross into Botswana to the south and enter the breathtaking Okavango Delta, one of the largest inland river deltas in the world - 15-000sq. kilometres of unique African paradise.
You spend two days of serenity travelling through swampy waterways in Mokoros, with dramatic photo opportunities and splendid animal & bird life. You then continue heading west to the Chobe National Park, Botswana's premier game viewing destination. Chobe is well known for its high elephant population and you have the chance to see both lion and elephant from the river and by 4x4 vehicles. Finally, at the end of the tour you arrive in Livingstone, on the Zambian side of the almighty Mosi-oa-Tunya ("The smoke that thunders"), also known as Victoria Falls. The Falls are over a mile in length and it's the largest curtain of water in the world. Ample optional activities are available in Cape Town, Livingstone and Swakopmund.
