| Start: Upington
| Day 1 Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park Upington - Kgalagadi "Twee Rivieren Camp" / Mata-Mata: We leave Upington at 08h00 from your guesthouse to drive to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. We stop en route at the Norokei Salt Pans (natural salt mine) and we pay a visit to the Khomani San Bushmen to view their art. We then drive until Twee Rivieren, which will be our base camp for tonight. Then we depart on a game drive in this 38 000 square km park. Approximate predator numbers: Lions - 450, Leopards - 150, Cheetah - 200, Spotted hyenas - 370. Bird species are 264, of which 20 raptor species are present. Antelope such as Gemsbok, Hartebeest, Springbok and Wildebeest are well represented.
Overnight: Twee Rivieren chalets Meals: L, D | Day 2 Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park Twee Rivieren - Nossob (160km) or Mata Mata (130km): After an optional morning walk in the sand dunes at Twee Rivieren Camp we continue our safari for new discoveries along the dry Nossob- or Aub riverbeds. Your guide will explain to you the special plant and animal adaptations of the Kalahari Thirstland. As usual, don’t hesitate to ask him to stop whenever a good opportunity for photography occurs. We do a series of game drives, following the short Dune Road, and crossing from one country to the other.
Overnight: Nossob or Mata-Mata - Chalets Meals: B + L + D | Day 3 Upington Nossob / Mata-Mata - Upington (405km): We depart early morning back along the Nossob Riverbed on a game drive towards Twee Rivieren. We explore the wonders of the Kalahari until 15h00, before we take the scenic road back to Upington. Arrive late afternoon back in Upington. Safari ends.
