Kanana CampThe ambience of this hidden camp depicts an era of bygone colonialism. Set in idyllic surrounds amongst fig and palm trees providing much needed shade.

Kanana is a hidden jewel set deep in the Okavango Delta amongst grass covered islands formed by fertile eroded termite hills dotted with fig, palm and other trees providing shade and a lookout for predators to spot their prey on the floodplain.

Please note that the camp is closed from 1 December to 28 February.

Facilities
The dining and sitting areas are raised on decking encircling a massive ancient fig tree. Professionally managed menus include fresh bread baked daily and fresh vegetables. The gift gallery is stocked with local handicrafts and other items.
Accommodation
8 large, twin-bedded safari tents en suite

Each tent is built on decks overlooking the Delta, with windows to take full advantage of this setting. The tents stand amongst spectacular shade trees of ebony, knobthorn acacia and the sausage tree.

The bathrooms have hot and cold running water (24 hours), a shower and a flush toilet.
Family
Children pay full adult fare unless traveling in 'Family's on safari months' (see below). Children traveling in 'Family's on safari months' qualify for a 30% discount only if sharing with 1 or 2 adults. Family on safari months' are March 01 - July 31 & November 1-30, valid for children aged 7-16 years.
Rate includes
. Accommodation in deluxe-tented camps with en suite bathrooms - running hot & cold water 24 hours, shower and flush toilet
. Large comfortable tents Meru style with separate private shower
. All meals and snacks while staying at the camp.
. All beverages, including bottled water and alcoholic beverages in reasonable quantities (featuring South African wines)
. Game drives in 4x4 open sided vehicles
. Powerboats and mokoro rides, game walks, fishing (and equipment) depending on the camp. All activities are escorted by tenured expert guides
. Daily laundry services
. Large suitcases are stowed free of charge at Ker & Downey Maun airport office.
. All taxes, VAT, Fees and service Charges
. Emergency evacuation insurance from Ker & Downey camps to a regional medical facility.
