| Facilities Relax under the Wild Fig at the pool and boma overlooking the grass plains nearby, which always offer superb game viewing. Ravineside Lodge has undeniable appeal and a character of its own.
Ravineside caters for all. However, more emphasis is placed on traditional Southern African cuisine with dishes ranging from Cape Malay to Pioneer cooking methods accompanied by fresh garden produce and traditional rural African dishes married with European style. | Accommodation Each lodge has 3 or 4 luxury en suite bedrooms with an African ethnic theme.
A private open-plan lounge and bar area extends to the open sundecks. From here the guests can indulge in bird and game watching and experience the beauty of the ravine with the rippling sound of water far down in the valley. | Parents/guardians need to be aware of the danger posed by wild animals. Care should be taken in deciding when and where children are allowed to move around and/or play. We require that children remain under adult supervision at all times and that the parents/guardians ensure that their children do not spoil the peace and tranquility of Entabeni for the other guests.
Children under the age of three will not be allowed on game drives due to the risk to themselves, as well as the risk of them disrupting the peace and quiet of the game drive experience for the other guests. Upon request, special game drives can be arranged for the children. These drives take place after breakfast.
In a situation where the game vehicle is left behind to track game on foot, the game ranger has sole discretion on whether children will be allowed to accompany the guests on foot. If the game ranger decides that the children are not allowed to accompany the other guests on foot, at least one parent/guardian will be expected to remain behind on the vehicle to supervise the children.
Children under the age of twelve are not allowed on game walks. Upon request, "little five" game walks can be arranged to accommodate these children. Other activities such as "gogga" patrols and clay model building can be arranged for children.
