| Leroo-La-Tau is a comfortable distance for a day trip into Nxai Pan National Park and a visit to Baines Baobabs, Njuka Hills, Green's Baobabs, Chapman's Baobabs as well as an overnight excursion to Central Kalahari Game Reserve or the endless Makgadikgadi Salt Pans for the more adventurous. The area neighbours a quaint Motswana village where a traditional way of life uncovers the cultural heritage of the safari area.
The Boteti River bed winds through the Kalahari, which is referred to as a desert only because of the lack of surface water during the dry winter months. The Boteti therefore is the artery of life in this part of the Kalahari Desert. Even though the Boteti has not flowed for more than 10 years, permanent water holes abound in certain areas. Leroo-La-Tau Camp is built on the 25m high cliffs of Boteti that forms the western banks of this very unique ecosystem -one and a half-hours drive (150km) East-south-east of Maun. |

Guestbook |
We're still overwhelmed by our African experience and we are pleased that Leroo-La-Tau was a part of it. There is certainly no flaw in the services you rendered. Everything went as planned only that we might well have arrived later on our first day as Leroo-La-Tau do their evening game drives a bit later so as to make it half evening game drive and half night drive.
The management give people a truly authentic experience of the African wild. The manager himself is a very experienced guide with extremely good interpretive skills and the ability to pass on his knowledge and broaden the visitor's horizon. He is also making sure that his guide's skills are being improved and that guests get a better understanding of wildlife and their habitats. The Leroo-La-Tau principle is to show the true wilderness and make people comprehend that they are not in a zoo.
We can only encourage you to send people to Leroo-La-Tau as there indeed not too many options in this beautiful area of Botswana. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Lodge. All our best wishes from Germany. Elke & Günter
