Modumo Sehiteng was born not far from the site where the Lodge is. The concession was part of the communal land he used to explore as a child.
In 1993 he joined Okavango Explorations as a trainee polar. He managed to pass his guides license soon and ended up being head guide at Xugana Island Lodge (Desert & Delta) until 2000.
In 1997, one of his clients planted the seed for his dream. He asked Modumo why he doesn't buy himself a Landrover and starts his own overland safari company? The idea of having his own business stuck with him since.
It took Modumo, his brother Hahela and his uncle Joseph, many years of bureaucracy and setbacks until the first pole of Modumo Lodge was eventually planted on 04 November 2002. | Facilities

Children are welcome, but be advised that Modumo Lodge is an adult environment.
Children might not be permitted to join game drives and activities. This can be due to safety concerns or in consideration of other guests. Discretion lies with the guide and lodge management.
A children's discount of 50% on accommodation does apply. The children (not more than two) must share with an adult. A child 16 years and older is considered an adult. | Rate includes
