This evening we do supper at a restaurant. (Own cost).
Day 2 - 4 Okavango
We fly to Chiefs Island in the Okavango Delta where we change to Mokoros ("dug out canoes") to be poled along the channels of the Delta to a remote Island where we will camp wild for two nights. From our campsite we will do game walks on the surrounding islands allowing us the opportunity to observe the smaller creatures and animal tracks, scents and sounds that are overlooked when on a game drive and at the same time keeping a careful lookout for lion, elephant, buffalo any the numerous smaller animal species and birds that proliferate in the Delta. There will also be plenty of time to relax in camp, trying your hand at poling a mokoro or taking a swim.
We spend the third night in the Delta will be spent at an established campsite where we can enjoy a hot shower before retiring to the bush bar and it's observation platform for a cold drink while we watch animals coming down to the water to drink. B. L. S.
Day 5 - 8 Moremi Wildlife Reserve
We fly back to Maun where we will be met by our 4x4 safari mobile, and will stock up on fresh supplies and cold drinks before we head North for Moremi Game Reserve, situated on the Eastern side of the Okavango Delta.
We will spend four nights in Moremi staying at various campsites as we Safari around the reserve in search of leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, antelope, etc. We explore the reserve extensively and traverse areas of savannah, Mopani forests, Acacia scrubland and the vast reed beds where fingers of the delta flow deep into the reserve. Each area hosting prolific and diverse animal and birdlife. Suppers are prepared over the campfire as we listen to the animal noises drifting in out of the dark and you can expect to be lulled to sleep by a symphony of screeches and clicks from cicadas and reed frogs and the occasional roar of a lion or whoop of a hyena. B. L. S.

We do an early morning safari before we head back to Maun after brunch, to a campsite on the Thamalakane River and take our last supper together in a local restaurant. Guestbook

Leopard in BotswanaNamib dunesIt was a fantastic trip - everything and more than we had hoped for. Papadi Safaris, Grant and Moira, were terrific. The tour that Grant organized in Namibia was exceptional. We want to see more of Namibia the next time. Four days was not sufficient. You warned us, but one does have to make choices and prioritize.

Grant and Moira went above and beyond their duties to give us an exceptional safari. We were the only clients on the trip which of course resulted in huge benefits to us as we did not have to consider the wants and desires of others. The fact that both Moira and Grant are excellent photographers, was also a huge benefit. Their knowledge of the parks, and what contributes to a good photo (time of day, sun angle, location of photographer, etc) provided me with some exception photos, that we would not have gotten otherwise.

Time (several hours) spent observing a female leopard, sunset at a hippo pond and Sossusvlei were some of the highlights.
