| The Nyalaland Trail winds through one of the prime wilderness areas of southern Africa. The trail camp is situated on the bank of the Madzaringwe Stream north of Punda Maria, near the Luvuvhu River. The magnificent Lanner Gorge and other vantage points offer splendid views of the South African, Zimbabwean and Mozambican bushveld simultaneously. The area is known for its fever tree and baobab forests, prolific birdlife and spectacular views. Hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, fishing owls and, as its name implies, nyala, are frequently sighted.
Kruger's wilderness trails enable adventurous visitors to make close personal contact with nature by traversing large areas of unspoilt wilderness on foot, under the guidance of armed and experienced trail rangers. Groups are limited to eight persons and the duration is three nights and four days.
A daily conservation levy is payable (included in the price range indicated). Wild Card members do not pay conservation fees provided that Proof of Identity and Wild Card are presented on arrival.
