Being the largest restcamp, Skukuza is also the operational and administrative headquarters of the park. The restcamp is situated in the southern part of the park on the bank of the Sabie River.The camp is well foliaged and there are some lofty riverine trees along the river’s edge. Activities and facilities are diverse, as are the animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas. Historical sites in the camp are the dogs' cemetery, bell tower, old pontoon bridge, train bridge, Selati Rail Museum and Campbell Hut Museum. The Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Library is open to the public.
During school holidays programmes are presented in the environmental education centre. Game is abundant in the area and drives along any of the surrounding roads are certain to produce sightings of a wide variety of animals and birds. Nearest Road: H11 Ecozone: H
A daily conservation levy is payable (included in the price range indicated). Wild Card members do not pay conservation fees provided that Proof of Identity and Wild Card are presented on arrival.

| Facilities Situated on the banks of the Sabie River, is Skukuza Restaurant. The restaurant offers a variety of options from african meats and traditional vegetables and casserol dishes to light meals or snacks for the kids in the quick service section. At night, you can enjoy an unforgettable traditional braai in the bush, re-connect with nature, and join in a relaxed atmosphere. The recently renovated Victorian Style Grillhouse, has a host of sizzling meals to choose from and is situated on the train platform in Skukuza. See the original train and dine on its platform!
Other facilities at Skakuza include an auditorium, bank, petrol station, shop & cafetaria, 3 new swimming pools, post office and laundry. | Accommodation Guest Houses These are large luxury units in prime positions. There are well equipped kitchens, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms. Limited channel satellite televisions are provided.
Family Cottages and Guest Cottages Units with well equipped kitchens, multiple bedrooms and usually more than one bathroom. Visitors should confirm bed numbers and interior contents when booking.
Luxury Riverside Bungalows Bungalows along the river frontage have a more modern design. Still one bed roomed, with en suite bathroom, these units have large glass sliding doors providing excellent views of the river and its wildlife. The units each have a double bed, quality decor, air-conditioning and have satellite television offering limited channels. All in all these units portray a very warm and welcoming ambiance.
Bungalows Round-walled single-roomed African style units with thatched rooves. 2 or 3 beds per unit, equipped with en suite ablutions (most with showers, but some with baths). Most units have air-conditioning. Kitchenettes vary: some have hotplates and sinks, some have only sinks, while some have neither. Cutlery and crockery may be provided or can be hired from reception. Visitors should confirm all of the above when booking.
