SibuyaIf it weren't for a guided boat shuttle to camp - you probably wouldn't find this hidden gem. Sibuya offers a quiet getaway on the banks of the Kariega River, just 130 kms from Port Elizabeth.

Designed for the independent traveller or small group market, Sibuya offers a low-impact nature experience for the ecotourist seeking personalised service, professional organization and eco-informative activities. Safe, comfortable and affordable, an original South African Bush Camping Experience in the heart of the historic Eastern Cape.

Sibuya Game Reserve covers more than 2000 hectares and incorporates the unique East Cape Valley Bushveld, Grasslands and Coastal Forests. Antelope abound, including the rare Bontebok and Oribi. Giraffe, Rhino and Zebra silhouetted against an Indian Ocean backdrop complete a truly memorable picture. Elephant and Buffalo have recently been introduced. The reserve also supports abundant and varied bird life.

Other activities include horse riding, water skiing, beach hiking, cultural & historical tours.

Guests are met in Kenton on Sea, at 12.00 pm for transfer to Sibuya Game Reserve by riverboat. After settling into the accommodation, guests enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Kariega River. On offer for the afternoon activity, guests can choose whether to enjoy a game drive, river cruise, canoe trip, bush walk or simply relax at the camp. Guests return to camp to freshen up for sundowners followed by a sumptuous dinner. Afterwards, an evening game drive is taken under the starlit sky. Return to camp for a fireside nightcap, whilst listening to the serenading nightjars and hooting owls.
Next morning, a full breakfast is served. After this, guests depart for a morning game drive to the Look Out, high above the Kariega River.

Access
Sibuya is located 130 kms from Port Elizabeth and 150 kms from East London. It is easily accessible on a self-drive safari in sedan car.
