Desroches Island travel info

This island lies in the Amirantes Archipelago, 250 km to the south-west of Mahe. It is larger than the other islands - 5 km in length, and rises from a depth of 3000 m. The island has well-developed timber and coconut plantations. The palm-lined, sandy beaches serve as the perfect base from which to explore the abundance of marine life.
