It is situated on the Atlantic Seaboard, surrounded by rugged mountains and the sea. Self- contained, Hout Bay boasts its own fishing harbour, yacht basin, sandy white beaches, shopping centres, schools, churches and a large variety of restaurants.
Along the Disa River the land has been divided into two acre lots, zoned Agricultural. Known as the mink and manure belt, this area is highly sought after , by those who work either locally or in Cape Town City, yet wish to live in a country environment.
Hout Bay with its village atmosphere, and rich history holds many attractions. The renowned Chapman's Peak drive beckons from across the valley towards Cape Point or on to False Bay. In the opposite direction from the crest of Victoria Avenue, the sunshine beaches of Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton, stretch northwards to Cape Town and its world standard Waterfront Development. Over Constantia Nek to the north-east lie the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with the Cape winelands a mere scenic drive away.
