Mahe travel info

Mahe Island is 27 km long and 12 km wide, and with its international airport, is the economic and political center of the Seychelles. The island is dominated by a mountain range, with Morne Sechellois forming the highest peak at 905m. The 75 beaches that are scatterd along its shores are palm-fringed and surprisingly free of people. The quaint capital city, Victoria, can be covered on foot, and a visit to the local market a must. As 90% of the Seychellois live on Mahe, the nightlife here is much livelier than anywhere else in the archipelago.
