Nata Sanctuary travel info

This sanctuary was developed at the mouth of the Nata River in the extreme north-east of Sowa Pan. The establishment of the sanctuary is a successful community-initiated project in which the funds go directly to the community. This is one of the best views possible of the pans, thanks to an elevated wooden hide, which provides a beautiful vantage point. It is useful to find out ahead of time if there is water in the pan because, if so, thousands of flamingos, ducks, geese and pelicans are to be seen. A sight to behold!
