| A corridor leads you down, on a journey beneath the ground, to an experience unique and unforgettable. Your entrance brings you to an uninterrupted bushveld panorama. You are cocooned in luxury, inspiration and grace. There are twelve suites only, in addition to the Amber Suite. Each is attended by a Private Butler and is appointed with specially commissioned furnishings, a secluded plunge pool and open air shower. The natural sculptures of Geoffrey Armstrong add a powerful magic. The Amber Suite is generous beyond belief in its dimensions and boasts its own exercise room, steam room, study and kitchen. It captures art and luxury in one unique experience.
Earth Lodge and its surrounds tries to provide a sanctuary for flora and fauna - not only for our children, but for their children too - in a manner that creates employment, earns foreign currency and contributes to the growth of the country through the development of eco-tourism. |

Community As an example of the community-based projects, Sabi Sabi has worked with two highly qualified educators and has undertaken to train teachers in neighbouring communities. Sabi Sabi is initiating various small-scale farming projects as well as an environmental education center in the neighbouring communities.
Sabi Sabi seeks to improve the lives of people of surrounding communities until a harmonious co-existence is achieved. The Reserve is involved in numerous community-based projects, particularly in those villages where Sabi Sabi's staff and their families live. The employment and income-generating activities benefit the surrounding communities as each employee supports between 4 and 12 dependants.
All Sabi Sabi's employees undergo training on an on-going basis. In addition, bursary schemes are in place for skills development, particularly to assist with increasing the supply of natural and financial resources to Sabi Sabi's bordering communities.
Natal-mahogany is one of the many beautiful indigenous trees planted at the Lilleydale Environment Centre, which embodies both the past and the future of the local people of the area. The bright red-and-black seeds yield as much as 32% oil that for generations was used in the making of soap and fish poison. The wood has been used extensively for carved ornaments and household utensils, but as these are slow-growing trees, this practice is no longer encouraged. Sabi Sabi is part of a new era of sustainable conservation. | Rate includes .
