It is situated in the Manyaleti Game Reserve
which is wedged between Timbavati, the Kruger National Park
and Sabi Sand. The 10000 hectare private concession in which the camp
lies is a prime Big Five area (buffalo, leopard, elephant, lion and rhino). It is set
apart from similar operations by its size and exclusivity and offers guests a top-quality
wilderness experience and excellent game viewing. At the main camp a small pool, and a
thatched hide next to the waterhole enables guests to relax when not on game drives.
Honeyguide offers East African-style tented accommodation to a maximum of 24 guests. Each
tent is equipped with en suite facilities and is furnished in traditional safari style,
giving the nature lover a close encounter with the sounds and ambience of wild Africa
without sacrificing safety or comfort. All meals, refreshments, game drives and walking
trails are included in the rate and a full bar service is available. A unique feature of
this camp is the integration with nature, without A typical day starts off when guests are woken up by the
sound of beating drums, and refreshments are served in the tents. Thereafter, guests are
taken on an early morning game drive accompanied by a tracker and an armed ranger, who
will usually find some interesting spoor and will track the animals on foot, accompanied
by the guests. However this is dependent on guests wanting to walk and is adjusted
according to the group. After the morning drive a huge breakfast is served and guests can
either relax at the pool or take a walk around the camp with one of the rangers. Lunch is
served in mid-afternoon and then guests are taken out on an afternoon - evening The experienced and dedicated team at Honeyguide are responsible for conducting game drives. They possess a great knowledge of game and the ecosystems.
