Our guide, Gavin Paul, was outstanding in his knowledge,
experience, responsible driving, conversation skills, passion for
his work and, last but not least, cooking skills. The facilities
were well maintained, spotlessly clean, and most staff that we
encountered were friendly and efficient. The sunrise and sunset
drives were expertly conducted and extremely productive in terms of
sighting the Big Five. You have delivered an experience that has
exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to recommend
your organisation to our friends and business contacts.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply but I am still editing all
the wonderful photos. What can I say about Mvuu...
Well for one, why did you not tell us how fantastic it really is and
let us book in for at least a week!!!- only joking, but it was
great, the staff are good and the game guiding is very good. we had
a wonderful experience with some elephants on the shoreline while we
where in the boat.
The food is good and well presented and served, wine selection at
camp is good. Having now been home for a few weeks I can not really
think of anything bad about the camp, but I would recommend that it
is probably worth staying for at least 3 days as it is so relaxing,
I will be bringing my wife back at some stage in the near future.
The one slight disappointment is probably the lack of variety of
wildlife but I believe with their conservation work that will be
getting better so thank you very much and hope to be back soon.
PS. The view from the room is something special: crocs and things -
wow !!!!!!!!

Our family had a very memorable holiday at Elephant Plains. We
would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends. The guides were
competent and made every effort to answer our queries and to show us
as much of the wildlife as they could. The lodge itself had a nice
`close-to-nature' feel and the service staff were very helpful.
Overall, I would say that all of us, especially my children, came
away with a heightened appreciation of nature.

Our guide's knowledge of the flora, fauna, wildlife, insects,
birds and cooking was extremely impressive. I thought that the
service we received from him was above and beyond our expectations.
He truly spoiled us and gave us an experience we will never
forget... The only thing I would have changed is the night game
drive experience.
When we went out on the night drive with the SANParks rangers in
Kruger Park, they had us hold and shine flashlights to help spot the
animals. A good while later, I asked if the light shining in their
eyes could damage their eyesight and I was told that yes, it could
actually completely blind some of them, especially the big cats ,to
the point that they would no longer be able to hunt. I was then told
that after they spot an animal, they shine the light away from it’s
eyes. However we were never told the proper technique of shining the
light on the animals until I inquired about it. I later talked to
someone else who did the night game drive and they said they had the
same concern when they went on their night drive which leads me to
believe that this is a nightly occurrence. I believe that it’s
irresponsible for the rangers to give flashlights to the tourists
who are inexperienced and unknowledgeable of correct tracking
techniques. It was also not that enjoyable of an experience. I would
rather have had an activity with our guide from the Classic Kruger
safari who was a lot more respectful and knowledgeable of the
environment and the wildlife and was also a lot more personable.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our safari. It exceeded
our expectations in every area. The staff, guides, food,
accommodation, drinks and environment were amazing. I would
recommend Inyati Game Lodge to anyone who is wanting a superb, very
memorable safari!
The wildlife we saw was out of this world. Never in my wildest
dreams did I think we would see as much wildlife as we did, and have
it so close up to us!
Thank you for arranging everything so well. It was perfect, and we
would definitely recommend your company to anyone who is thinking
about travelling to South Africa.

Firstly, thank you very much for all your help in organising our
trip. You really made it very easy for us!
We had a wonderful time, especially on safari in Kruger National
Park. It was amazing! We found the Kruger Walking Safaris were really
excellent. The guides (especially Tiens) had a wealth of experience
and were keen to share information and stories. They obviously had a
deep love of the area, and its flora and fauna and were passionate
about preservation and conservation in the park. The camps were well
disguised and very well kept. The service was fantastic throughout
the stay. We also found Hester from Schoeman Tours & Transfers very
friendly, professional and an excellent guide to the area.
We also enjoyed our trip to Namibia and the dunes were amazing.
However, we felt the time allotted to spend at the dunes was very
short especially as it is the major attraction in the region. The
Olive Grove Guesthouse in Windhoek was a very restful place and the
staff very accommodating and helpful.
Again thank you very much for all your help and we would have no
hesitation in using ecoAfrica again or in recommending it to others.

We
certainly did have a great time in Kichwa Tembo. I read somewhere in
the blurb that it would be beyond our wildest dreams and that
was so, particularly for my Mum who never imagined she would have
that opportunity. So thank you for your assistance in making it
happen.
Everything went very smoothly. We were particularly happy with our
accommodation. It was extremely comfortable. The food was fantastic
and plentiful and the service excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable
and most helpful and the game drives were a treat. Each had it's own
highlight. We did the dawn balloon ride which I think was Mum's
absolute highlight and which I truly enjoyed.
I have attached a photo. It was hard to choose which to send as we
saw the big 5 - yes even a leopard who was eating his kill up in a
tree - and we have some really good photos.

Thanks so much for setting things up for us. Our
four days in Lamu were beautiful and interesting and relaxing - we
had the best room at Kijani House, with thatched porch overlooking
the sandy beach and people and donkeys and fishing boats. There was
even another thatched deck above it where we hosted a couple of new
friends we met at meals for sunset wine. Staff were very helpful and
we couldn't have asked for more. Good food.
The trip to Uganda was also a definite highlight. George, our
driver, was very helpful, knew wildlife and birds, and arranged
everything we needed. I had been having problems with calf muscle of
my left leg ever since we landed in Nairobi (socks too tight for
long plane travel, maybe deep vein thrombosis), and they arranged
for me to go in the gorilla tracking to the closest group (only
about 15 minutes), had porters to help me on the way, etc. Ellie was
in group that hiked 2 hours
up the mountain and half hour down the other side before meeting
their gorillas--but then her body was up to it! Mburo National Park
visit more than made up for the fact that we didn't get to overnight
at Ngamba Island - sitting out on the deck in front of the tent
watching sunset and sunrise and listening to the night sounds; also
boat trip out on Lake Mburo where the park guide found great birds
for us (the whole trip, including our beginning safari in Kenya,
added 147 species to my life list). So your
arrangements worked out beautifully, we were met at all airports by
drivers to take us to the arranged hotels. While we expected that
people involved in the tourist business would be open and
friendly, we were impressed by the people we met and passed in both
Kenya and Uganda - kids waving, if we saluted a man or woman on the
roadside as we passed they returned the salute or wave. We got a
very favourable impression of both countries (at least the southern
parts; both have been having some northern problems, from
insurrection in Uganda and drought in Kenya, from what we hear). And
we brought the end of the drought with us to the areas we visited,
but not enough rain to interfere with our experiences, and they
certainly need good rains. Thanks again for your
efforts and we recommend you to anyone we talk to about our trip.

The highlight of my trip was of course the 3 day safari in Kruger
- a once in a lifetime experience. The guides were terrific! I'm
working as an entomologist at the University of Uppsala, from time
to time also as a guide, and I think that I have quite high demands.
I give them ten out of ten! If all your guides are as good as the
ones we had, you and your customers should be very happy!
I'm impressed with the high quality of your service and love to tell
that experience to anyone planning a visit in Africa. Your
professional response and quick, concrete answers and information

I loved Africa, the lush bush, the clear star filled
skies, the peace at night apart from animal noises, the sunshine and
of course all the animals; elephant, rhino, buffalo, lions,
wildebeest, zebra, cheetahs, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, warthog,
mongoose, baboons, monkeys, vultures etc. etc. etc..
The scenery on the way back to Jo'burg was also fantastic. So good
to see a glimpse of a beautiful country that we so often only hear
of in the UK re. HIV, poverty, car-jacking and unrest/warfare!
I have some great photos and memories and would love to do more
another time. I have and would thoroughly recommend it all.

It's not easy to be back in the snow again after
such a wonderful trip. Your arrangements worked out perfectly. The

everything we saw in the park. Big and small animals and beautiful
birds. The lodges were very good and we felt strongly that our guide
tried to give us the best of all, all the time. The hotel in Cape

did absolutely as much as they could to make us feel comfortable.

The experience far exceeded our expectations - so
much so that we still feel like the whole Bongani experience was a
wonderful dream. We plan to go back, and also to visit some other CC
Africa lodges.
We own Land Rovers that we drive off-road here in California, and we
are involved in teaching people how to "tread lightly" so we were
VERY impressed with the care with which the guides and trackers used
a vehicle to transport tourists and help us get good photographs
while at the same time taking good care of the environment.
I asked the guides a lot of questions about their training (which is
amazingly in depth) and how they felt about their jobs and they had
nothing but good things to say about the experience. They were not
only knowledgeable, but diplomatic when dealing with tourists who
thought they knew everything!
The way the lodge works with local tribes to replace villages that
are in sensitive areas to other more appropriate places and to
provide jobs, housing, infrastructure, etc., really came through to
us during a village tour and during one of the game drives.
Fabulous! Makes me proud to know there are groups out there doing
economic development.
The service was excellent and the accommodations were beautiful and
well-kept.

The Drifters' Tented Camp in Balule seemed to fit
into the environment perfectly and we felt very comfortable there.
The activities – like our morning walk and the night game drive –
were well portioned and we were given interesting and helpful
information on how to live and respect the natural surroundings. Our
highlight was a group of three female lions during the night game
drive which got up and passed our Jeep at a distance of 5m… I was so
amazed, that I forgot to use the camera in my hands!
Another highlight was our guides: Joe's sense of humour, Isaac's way
of telling stories or folk tales and Sandro's patience in answering
questions.

We loved our safari at the Rhino Lodge. The
guides were very attentive and informative. We learned a ton about
the animals, plant life and about South African life. Because we
stayed at two lodges we had the opportunity to tour with a number of
leaders. Each had their own particular area of interest that they
shared. Both camps blended beautifully into the environment. All
activities were respectful and reverent to the environment.
ecoAfrica was great in answering so many of our questions in a
timely manner and our travel plans were perfectly coordinated.

It
was a fantastic trip - everything and more than we had hoped
for. Papadi Safaris, Grant and Moira, were terrific. The tour
that Grant organized in Namibia was exceptional. We want to
see more of Namibia the next time. Four days was not
sufficient. You warned us, but one does have to make choices
and prioritize.
Grant and Moira went above and beyond their duties to give us
an exceptional safari. We were the only clients on the trip
which of course resulted in huge benefits to us as we did not
have to consider the wants and desires of others. The fact
that both Moira
and Grant are excellent photographers, was also a huge
benefit. Their knowledge of the parks, and what contributes to
a good photo (time of day, sun angle, location of
photographer, etc) provided me with some exception photos,
that we would not have gotten otherwise.
Time (several hours) spent observing a female leopard, sunset
at a hippo pond and Sossusvlei were some of the highlights.

Our safari in Kruger NP was very nice and unforgettable! We
both enjoyed it a lot: tranquillity, no stress, early game
drives in all weather.
The managers (Nicki and Gerrit) of Rhino Post Safari Lodge are
providing authentic wildlife experiences that are responsibly
managed. They are doing their best to ensure that guests enjoy
a nice time while staying with them. Very good food and
drinks. After sunset, Gerrit accompanies all guests to their
rooms in order to ensure that they are not
"surprised/attacked" by any animal. During game drives, Gerrit
shares a lot of his knowledge.
The non-fenced lodge is perfectly situated, the terrace at the
edge of a riverbed where one can see buffaloes, elephants,
impalas, zebras crossing the lodge area.
We can only recommend this place!!

Adrian and I had a wonderful time
with Exeter Dulini and the lodge/safari experience exceeded our
expectations! The lodge main facility and our private suite was very
clean and luxurious, and blended in very well with the surroundings.
The meals were all excellent and we had a change of meal settings
every day - near the pool, in the open air boma, in the main lodge.
The staff were so friendly and professional.
Our ranger was Rexton and tracker was Patrick and both were very
knowledgeable about the ecosystem, animals, and the history of the
land. Both were courteous and very friendly at all times, including
when dining with us and other guests.
The highlight of the trip was when 3-4 other tracker/rangers in the
area were all looking for a pride of lions, Rexton and Patrick were
the only ones who did not give up, and ended up finding them first!
It was amazing seeing how they work together and educated us a
little bit about tracking animals through ravines, bush, and rough
terrain.
I highly recommend the Exeter Dulini lodge. It is one of the best
vacation/experiences I have had. Lastly, thanks ecoAfrica for your
help as well as getting everything organized. I was a bit hesitant
doing everything online and not going to a local travel agent. But
you helped us put this together very smoothly. Thanks again!

We have just returned from an amazing trip to Africa where
the highlight without doubt was the safari you booked for us. We
had one of the best experiences of our lives and we are so
grateful to you for sorting this out for us. We saw nearly all
the animals in the park in those superb 4 days and we wanted to
especially mention Willem Pieterse who was so knowledgeable,
courteous and just the best ranger we could have hoped for. Here
are the answers you requested:
All the arrangements went like clock work and we believe this
came down to how efficient and experienced Willem was. The
schedule of the safari allowed for a compliment of sightings and
relaxation. The camps were excellent, extremely comfortable and
had brilliant facilities. We were especially overwhelmed by the
breakfast and dinner arrangements, where Willem actually cooked
all of them for us and they were gratefully received and
enjoyed. It was this kind of extra effort and engagement with us
by Willem that made this time and we are thoroughly recommending
this experience to anyone who listens! We also liked the chance
on the final day to do some sightseeing on our way back to
Jo’berg. Well, thank you so very much - I think the word
‘perfect’ really sums it up for us.

The lodge is perfectly integrated in
its environment. The only question could be the generator, but
I'm not sure solar energy could fully replace it. The hosts at
the lodge were one of the most involved in conservation we have
ever met in Africa and had community development initiatives as
a part of their activities. Semliki is probably the best lodge
we've been to in Africa, not because of the wildlife which was
still shy, but thanks to the way it is managed - we really felt
at home!

We had an absolutely wonderful trip to South Africa. My partner, who
had never visited your country, before fell in love with it and
wants to return for another trip as soon as we can afford it.
Everyone was great and the trips you organised for us were
excellent. The Bushveld safari was excellent. It was well organised,
well managed and well paced. The guide, Pippa, was a Zoologist and
had a great deal of knowledge about the flora and fauna. She was an
excellent guide and managed the tour superbly. We got the impression
that they were very concerned as to how environment was treated for
the present and for the future.
Thank you once again for arranging such excellent tours. The
guides did your country proud and we can't wait to come back again.

We had a great time in Africa - first, we enjoyed the
professionalism at ecoAfrica, your
quick reactions, initiatives, availability, patience and
kindness particularly.
The Kruger restcamps part of the trip went smoothly, and the
answer to the eco-criteria you mention are positive, except the
community involvement, about which we had no info.
The Edeni part of our trip was even better; these people are so
eager to make us love their place and to make us feel good that
we ended up giving our ranger our personal address in France to
house him when he comes. The price, that seemed expensive to us
and made us hesitate to accept this booking you proposed us, is
definitely worth it. The eco-criteria they stand up to seem hard

My wife and I had a fabulous 7 days in Tanzania ! It was a great
holiday and organised extremely well by yourselves and Albatross.
We saw many different species of birds and animals including the
so-called big 5 - Lion, Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino
as well as lots more during the day and night. We were lucky
enough to see a Leopard in broad day- light on 3 separate
occasions - very lucky and we have seen lions hunting and a
Wildebeest calf being born and running very quickly within 15
minutes or so ! We have excellent video footage of thse things
and a lot of animals in close-up ...........very close in respect
of one huge elephant! What an adventure!
We also particularly enjoyed being with and observing the people,
especially the Masai and everyone was most hospitable and
friendly. The scenery and terrain were stupendous and the
Ngorongoro Crater was magical...a true garden of Eden. The camps
were very comfortable and I must say the food was really tasty.
In fact I slept so deeply and well in the tented lodges with the
cries of hyenas and other creatures close by rather better than
the very luxurious surroundings of the Sopa lodge on the lip of
the Ngorogoro. I have to say that the Sopa Lodge was really
fantastic from the staff, food, hospitality and the scenery which
surely was world class and unbeatable.

Last but not least we were so pleased with the way Albatross
organised everything down to the last detail such that we did not
have to worry about a thing and top class marks to David our
driver and guide. We couldn't have wished for a more professional
guide and driver who was very friendly, calm and extremely
knowledgeable about wildlife, fauna and flora, the surroundings
and culture and history of the land and its people and culture.
He was great and certainly contributed very strongly to the best
holiday I've ever had in my 50 years!

We had a very nice round trip in Namibia. Our guide, Carol,
made the trip an adventure for us. She is enthusiastic about her
job and an excellent cook, and she has good knowledge of
history, biology and geology. We started in the seal colony
which was astonishing with 200.000 of mothers and small pups.
Afterwards we headed towards Brandberg, but came only halfway
before both back tires were punctuated. We then had a "little
rest" for some hours with some refreshments while watching the
landscape and the sun set for some hours while Carol had to go
back to the coast to get help.
The day after we went for a walk in the Brandberg and got to see
the Bushmen's paintings of men and animals named "White lady",
then we headed to Aba Huab and the Tweifelfountain where we got
to see the Bushmen's carvings of the animals, as well as the
spectacular Organ pipes and the burnt mountain. Camping in Aba
Huab was also special. An enormous amounts of stars on the sky
and which could be watched through the ceiling of the tent in
the middle of wilderness, and associated with calls from
jackals, lots of birds, donkeys (which sounded as elephants
while they were plundering the garbage bins...) and other
animals. Very special. After Aba Huab and the paintings and
carvings of the animals, the turn had come to Etosha and the
real animals. We had several game drives and saw thousands of
springboks, many zebra, wild beast, gemsbok, ostriches, some
giraffes, birds and on the last day; a rhino very near the car
as we were driving out of the park!
The last night we camped in
the bush camp of Spitzkoppe. The spectacular mountain forms were
astonishing! And while we were there and visited the bushmen's
paradise, we "solved" one of the mysteries around the bushmen's
paintings. They must have used the shadows from animals and
people to
get the forms, and have added colors! Doesn't the shadow of us
look like a bushman's painting??
Thank you for a very well organized trip. We were presented with
many highlights of Namibia
